The 13th International Exhibition on Textile Industry (ShanghaiTex 2007), unveils at Shanghai New International Expo Centre, Pudong, Shanghai, PR China from June 1 - 4, 2007. ShanghaiTex is sponsored by Shanghai Textile Holding (Group) Corporation, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shanghai Sub-council & China Chamber of International Commerce Shanghai Chamber of Commerce, and is jointly organized by Shanghai International Exhibition Co Ltd, Shanghai Textile Technology Service & Exhibition Centre, and Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd.
As an international textile exhibition with more than 20 years experience, ShanghaiTex has been devoting to create business opportunities for local & overseas exhibitors & buyers. The show is making another milestone this year, with its exhibition scale reaching 120,000 sqm, increase by 20% as compared with 2005. The show is regarded as one of the most representative textile exhibitions in the world. Matching with the development trends of textile industry, new equipments and technologies in dyeing and finishing are given special emphasis this year, with 30% of the exhibits falling in this category.
9 indoor halls & 3 temporary halls are fully occupied by over 1,400 corporations from 20 countries and regions, including Austria, Brazil, PR China, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong SAR, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan Province, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, and so on.
ShanghaiTex, being a pioneer branding textile machinery exhibition with 24-years history, is highly recognized by worldwide textile professionals. Visitors from 60 countries and regions have pre-registered for visiting. Besides, buyer delegations from India, Thailand, Indonesia, Pakistan, Malaysia, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Turkey, etc have confirmed to visit the show. Domestic buyer groups from various provinces and production bases in PR China have been organized to visit the show. It is expected over 120,000 professional visitors will be attracted to the exhibition.
Highly valued by exhibitors, buyers and organizers, trade liaison & sale of exhibits is one of the highlights of ShanghaiTex 2007. Few months ago, trade mission is arranged by show organizers to Hubei, Henan, Shandong provinces for 2 weeks, in order to bring the latest show information to the enterprises, to discuss with the trade associations, major corporations and newly developed areas about their demand on equipments & comments on the show, to ensure that ShanghaiTex 2007 will cater their needs. Trade summit was organized before show to prepare for business transaction at the exhibition.
Trade liaison office was arranged onsite to assist exhibitors on the procedure of sale of exhibits , and office for intellectual property rights has also been set up to solve the legal issues.
For the convenience of trade visitors who come with different needs, ShanghaiTex 2007 makes a breakthrough by organizing exhibitors by product category instead of country of origin. 5 thematic zones have been set up onsite, namely (1) Knitting & Hosiery Machinery Zone (2) Printing, Dyeing & Finishing Machinery Zone (3) Spinning, Techtextile & Nonwoven Machinery Zone (4) Weaving Machinery Zone (5) Spare Parts & Accessories Zone.
2007 is a critical year to the Chinese textile industry's Eleventh Five-year Plan (2006-2010). It is the time when the industry seeks breakthroughs through the development and commercialization of key technologies. At this stage, Chinese textile industry strives for proprietary innovation, technological advancement and industry upgrade, and industrial transition from developed regions to their neighboring developing counterparts. ShanghaiTex 2007, in order to add professional values to its participants, will feature a number of conferences and exchanges the themes of: the applications of compact spinning technology; the applications of new spinning technologies and products; new weaving equipment, technologies and products; and new dyeing technologies and environmentally friendly chemicals, etc.
Since its debut in 1984, ShanghaiTex has been developing to be one of the most influential textile exhibitions in Asia, growing from 11,500 sqm at its first edition to 120,000 sqm. The 14th edition of ShanghaiTex (SHANGHAITEX 2009) will be held in June 12-15, 2009 with new record high exhibitions scale.
